I bloated to 272 lbs to see the impact on my test levels

I essentially bloated up to 272 LBS to conduct an experiment on testosterone levels and weight. I spent all of 2016 and 2017 taking my body weight from 230 to 272. I briefly hit 271 to 272 for a week I think somewhere around October. For the most part all of last year I was 265 or so. Here's a video of the posing at 6'0 and 268. Yeah I look big but it's literally all fat and extra water weight. I'm now back down between 235 and 241. The goal here was to do everything the same. Eat the same. Lift the same. Same reps and same repetitions. In conclusion of the experiment here are the key factors. I am now WEAKER at 235-241 than I was at 235-241 around 2 years ago. I'm lifting on average 25 pounds less on everything. I only lifted more weight at 265 to 271 due to shortening up my leverages in my arms and legs and due to the mass moves mass theory. My testosterone levels are at a lower level now at the same exact body weight that they were 2 years ago due to ha

How to prepare my body for an event at night?

I know the drill for preparing for a photo shoot; load up carbs and drink a fuck tonne of water the day before, fast drink minimal water during photo day etc etc etc (I actually drank a lot of alcohol the night before a shoot once and I would recommend it if it's a last minute thing). Except my problem is that it's not a day shoot. My event starts from around 10pm till 3am. So instead of of fasting till like 11am or 12 midday, I will be having to fast and drink no water till 3am. This isn't realistic at all. I will not be as lean as I am at 7am, but what can I do to mitigate the water and food gain on my belly throughout the day What are your suggestions for keeping as lean as possible from the hours of 10pm till 3am. The Spring Cleaning Diet Guide for a Lean, Muscular Physique

Why am I losing muscle so quickly?

Hey everyone, sorry for the long post, I'm feeling so demotivated and I would appreciate any insight. About a year ago, I went on a lean bulk to put on some size and just recently transitioned to cutting about a month ago. During both the bulking and cutting phases, I've tracked my weight and body fat percentage daily (using one of those body analyzer scales). I know that's not an accurate way to determine body fat, but theoretically, it should at least be consistently inaccurate. At the start of my bulk, I was 151 lbs, 12.4% body fat. At the end of the bulk (aka the beginning of my cut), I was 177.4 lbs 17.4% body fat. During my cut, my calorie deficit such that I've been losing 1-1.5% body weight (not lean mass, body weight) a week, which I've been told was pretty standard. I've been eating 1.1g of protein per lb of body weight, I've minimized my fat intake to around 21-22% of my calorie intake, and the rest of my calories come from carbs. I haven'

How important are squats and deadlifts to building an aesthetic physique?

Keep in mind my goal is not to become Mr.O or compete. I’m just a 20 year old guy who wants to have a nice aesthetic physique, looking good on the beach , does not care about being the strongest guy in the gym or big like Arnold. Overstress on first day, possible lateral epicondylitis?

I wanted to confirm what this pain is. It feels like I'm growing a new forearm. Like when I bend my arms it feels like my elbow is pushing into my forearm. It stops me from bending it all the way. And any information about how it happens and how it's treated will be helpful. Stretching it is good or bad? Should I apply heat or cold? Is it epicondilotis? I wanted to confirm what this pain is. In your guys' opinion, what are the best clothing lines specifically for the gym/lifting?

Lately i've been finding it really hard to find gym clothing I actually like. I used to love aesthetic revolution back in 2015-2017, but in the past 2 years they've started to design and market to runners and weird hipsters who only do calisthenics and flip tires, not to mention everything is so fucking expensive for just decent quality. Since aesthetic revolution completely changed I haven't actually found any decent clothing brands. Do you guys have any suggestions? When doing deadlifts, do use press down in the ground for the whole lift or just when you get to your knees?

Because I’ve been doing the latter, where your push the ground away then use your back. That’s what Athelean X told me. Problem is back is rounding hella. I’m killing it. Probably stunted my growth to be honest. So other people have told me to do that the whole entire lift, the only part that changes when you get to your knees is you push your hips in. But wouldn’t this only work the glutes and hammys instead of the posterior chain? Anyway, do you think all this back damage is permanent or can I recover? I’ve been going to gym recently, I’m a complete noob. I have been doing all the machines (legs biceps triceps abs shoulder chest etc) in one session (1 day). I would take a break the next day and continue on the day after that day. Recently I learnt that it’s not the right way, I should do 2 different muscle groups per day. Is that true? If so, how should I do it? I’m new, I’m 170cm talk weighing about 51.8 KG, yes I’m skinny. I’ve been going to gym recently, I’m a complete noob. "Warrior Diet" effecting muscle growth?

Hey guys, I apologize now for making this a post rather than posting on the DD but there is kind of a lot to explain. I am very small currently, only 155lbs at 6'2". Anyways, I got so damn skinny a while back from anorexia, then turned into binge eating and got myself up to 155 from 125 in like a month. Simply put I really fucked my relationship with food up. Because of my binging tendency's I have found a "warrior diet" style diet to be a large help to managing my binging. I eat just some veggies throughout the day then have most of my calories much later. I obviously would like to keep gaining, but at a steady pace (2700 calories a day) to minimize my fat gain as I already got pretty skinny fat from binging. So my question is could this negatively effect muscle growth? I got blood work done and came back with low total T (179 ng/dL) as well as low T3 (2.2 I think) levels. I got put on clomid rather than injections due to being young. I have found lots of succe

16 year old on S23

Many kids on my football team are on sarms like MK-677 and Ostarine. One kid said he took S23. I looked it up and it said it is being researched as a male birth control pill. Everyone has been giving him shit for it but he has gotten way bigger. I’m wondering how much you guys think he messed up his future and how unsafe is this? I think we can all agree that those three are the gods of all exercises. The Zeus, Poseidon and Hades of weightlifting. But... my question is, concerning bodybuilding aesthetics...how well off would you be if you only did these 3 exercises?? I think we can all agree that those three are the gods of all exercises. Where can I find tips that come from wisdom and experience like "try to touch your pinky to your delt in a curl" or remove your hip flexors from crunches?

I've picked up some of these things from a few years lifting, but its always best in life to find someone who is very experienced and have them mentor you to get better faster. I was wondering if there was a book or resource where bodybuilding wisdom and tips were gathered? Things like I mentioned in the title, or things like tempo, mind muscle connection, etc. Is Arnold's Encyclopedia filled with these kinds of things? Is there a better resource? How does a vacuum pose work and isn't it harmfull for the intestines to get displaced so much?

Saw a post from Juan Morel and thought of Frank Zane. Both guys with amazing vacuumes, which brought me to the question-How does the vacuum pose work and isn't it harmfull(if overdone)? Edit: I am looking at it from an anatomical point of view- how can the stomach squeeze so much and where do all the inner organs, which are at the lower part of the stomach, go? The 4-Move Glute-Building Workout

Image
Chris Nicoll / M+F Magazine Don’t be fooled by her beauty. Pro bikini competitor Raphaela Milagres can be very dangerous if the need arises. Of late, the 26-year-old has been practicing “the art of eight limbs,” Muay Thai , the devastating combat discipline that makes ample use of the fists, elbows, shins, and knees as weapons. Consider it an aggressive evolution of all her athletic pursuits growing up in Minas Gerais, Brazil, an array that included gymnastics , jazz dance, and ballet . Meanwhile, she’s been hard at work in the weight room since she was 16, developing the 5'4", 105-pound physique that has been helping her knock out the competition (figuratively, at least) on the bikini circuit. After winning her pro card at the 2013 Arnold Classic South America, she launched her own personal training business a year later and then made the decision to take a huge step in 2016. “I moved to Winter Garden, FL, to focus on my athletic career,” Milagres says.

Tim Howard Talks Training, Diet, and His Tourette's Syndrome

Image
(L) Courtesy of the Colorado Rapids (R) Timothy Nwachukwu / Getty Tim Howard has had a storied career in Major League Soccer. The 6'3" New Jersey native is the most capped goalkeeper of all time for the United States National Team, with 122 appearances between 2002 and 2017. He also set a record in the 2014 World Cup for most saves in a match. But with March 6 marking his 40th birthday, Howard announced on Twitter that this season would be his last. We talked with the goalkeeper to find out how he trains and eats to stay in top shape and how he’s managed his Tourette’s syndrome to become one of the most successful American soccer players ever.  Fun Fact: As of this writing, Howard has logged 699 saves in MLS over the course of his entire career. [RELATED2] A Smart Approach  “As a goalkeeper, power and agility are key focal points of my training,” Howard says. “I work with the team’s sport science and training staff, who make me a program that combines ca
