Dumb question about daily required protein
I'm having trouble finding reliable info about this.
Most websites say you need between 0.5-.9g of protein per pound per day. Does this mean total body weight? Should it not be lean muscle mass?
I'm about 30 lbs overweight, do i still take into account my total weight when calculating total protein needs? I feel like my 30 extra pounds of fat don't need protein, right?
