Many abs functional benefit?

Is there any functional benefit from having an 8 pack compared to a 4 or 6 pack for example. Or is it solely just aesthetics? Is there anything someone with a 10 pack would be able to do better than a 4 pack? Just curious Is there any functional benefit from having an 8 pack compared to a 4 or 6 pack for example. Lower back „pain“ while and after squatting heavy

I have 5 years of training experience but recently (for 4 months) I have an uncomfortable feeling while squatting. The feeling/ pain gets worse after the training session. My form is on point. Straight back and don’t use my lower back as my main source of power for the lift. Got many lifters who are more experienced than me looking over my form ...Also the problem occurs when I go heavier. Like 6 or less reps. The pain gets better/ is gone after 1-2 days. So my question is: does anybody know a solution/ fix to my problem? Maybe my lower back is too weak in comparison? But idk my deadlift is a strong lift for me (I am skipping lower back training until I know for sure the reason of the pain). Or maybe it is stronger than my legs and it is compensating the lacking strength? I am including hip thrusts and hamstring isolation cause I read this might help putting less stress on the lower back. Grateful for every advice! Is sleep a marked limiting factor in my muscle building and fat burning?

I sleep between 5-7 hours per night, aiming for 8-9, but rarely getting it, due to work schedule and probably some everyday life stresses. I lift 6 days a week, and my diet in on point. I feel I am making progress well, (I'm lean bulking) as I've put on 8-10 lbs over the past 5-6 months and kept or improved the appearance of my abs. MY question is, though, that I still seem to have a layer of body fat that I can't get rid of (the bottom 2 abs) regardless of if I'm cutting or bulking. Could this be hormonal and sleep related? I could absolutely set a nightly schedule and get 7-8 hours of sleep instead of 6-7, but after making lifting and diet a priority that I've done well with, sometimes I worry my life is too regimented and strict if I'm doing all of this and also going to bed at around 9:30 lol. Jay Cutler Classic Boston

This weekend I am going to be in attendance for the Jay Cutler Classic here in Boston. I’m excited to see the competition but had a couple of questions. Around how long is the show? Do they front load all of the Men’s divisions first (per the schedule it looked like that)? Is there an expo hall to buy supplements etc similar to maybe the Arnold? Obviously it won’t be that big. For those who have gone to the show did they enjoy it? It’s been a long time since I have been to a show so I’m pretty pumped to see the competitors! Transitioning from a cut to a bulk

I hope you guys don't mind this being a standalone post. I've got 2 weeks left in what's been a pretty successful 12-week cut ( before at 76kg, current 69kg – I'm ~5'7) and I'm wondering how you guys transition to from a cut to a good lean bulk? My diet is pretty basic. 4 meals a day. Breakfast always the same: overnight oats (oats, whey, milk, berries). Evening snack always the same: frozen greek yoghurt with a blob of PB and some more berries. Lunch and dinner I basically make a double portion and eat the same thing twice: usually chicken breast with couscous and veg but I've made also curries and stews and stuff to keep it interesting (I enjoy cooking). I track everything on MFP and I'm strict with total calories but less strict with macros so long as I hit my protein. When the weight loss slowed to less than 0.3kg per week I'd shave off 100cals. After 10 weeks in a deficit, I really have no idea what my new maintenance might be or how to ge...
