How fast am I supposed to increase strength?
Hi everyone,
I want to have lean muscle, but when it comes to increasing the weight I can handle on the bench press or squat, i don’t know if I am making good, bad, or no progress at all.
I started going to the gym regularly 8 months ago, before I couldn’t do even one push up, now I can bench press 3x8 135 pounds, and squat around 110 pounds 3x8 as well,when at the beginning all I had to do was body weight, and still, at the 20th squat I would be feeling that I need to stop to catch my breath. Is this good progress, or too slow? Does this mean am I doing something wrong?
Let’s say 2 months have passed from now, how much more strength, a healthy 22 years old male, natural, 5’11, 206 of weight, is supposed to progress?
