First Show Critique
Hey all,
Theres an upcoming show (17 weeks away) that I am considering competing in as my first show. Technically I'd be a novice despite my age. I'd likely aim for classic physique but am hoping to get some constructive feedback here.
Learning and practicing the poses is something I know I need to focus on, as well as flexing specific muscle groups such as hamstrings in back poses. I plan on attending a few posing clinics to help with this.
I've been considering competing for a bit but haven't pulled the trigger on it thus far. I've looked up a few coaches but don't know very much in that area of things or if I should even invest there for my first show.
Specific muscular weakpoints seem to be chest, traps, and lower back.
Height: 5'9"/176cm Weight: 202 in the morning Years training well: 4 S/B/D approximate 1RM: 525/350/550
Album of me doing some not so great poses.
Pictures were on a day training with only a smaller meal and post 25min of cardio.
So my questions are:
From a physique standpoint, how likely is it that I'll get my shit kicked in?
What parts of my physique would you improve if you could?
Do people have experience with doing a show without a coach and do you recommend it?
Given the 17 week time line, how would you approach a show prep? Because I have some idea, but some people here are crazy knowledgeable.
