Building a space saving home gym
Hey guys, so I was recently given an Olympic weight set with bench, chest press rack and weights. I have a 12’x12’ area and I’m thinking about getting rid off the current set up and getting a squat rack/cage with spotting bars or straps, a good solid incline/decline bench, a chin/dip attachment for the cage, a preacher curl attachment for the bench, a deadlift station with rubber mats and bumper plates, an Olympic weight cable crossover set up, and a GHD setup. I would also get various attachments for the cable crossover and probably a curl bar in addition to the Olympic barbell I already have. Also I have a bunch of non Olympic dumbbell weights and bars but I hate how loose they get as you lift with them so I may just sell those and get a dumbbell rack within the range I am currently lifting because I’m not big on adjustable dumbbells. I would also get a T-Bar row/ landlines attachment. I would likely also get a yoke.
Anyways I think those should cover all of my bodybuilding and strength training bases.
I have found so much affordable shit on FB marketplace, Letgo, and Craigslist.
I already have a spin bike and an echo bike for cardio.
Do you guys have any advice or pieces you think I maybe missing? Or better advice on products that incorporate all of these together?
TL;DR I have a 12’x12’ patio to build an at home bodybuilding and strength gym just wondering what space saving pieces you guys would recommend.
