Nick Ruffini here, AKA crohnslifter or u/Wh1tedragon - Ask me anything!

Hey guys!

My name is Nick AKA Crohnslifter or some of you have known me as u/Wh1tedragon. I've been bodybuilding with Crohn's Disease for just over 3.5 years. You might remember me from this post a while back:

https://old.reddit.com/r/bodybuilding/comments/4ualk3/what_1_year_of_perfect_diet_and_training_looks/

Bodybuilding literally saved my life, and this forum was a key part of the support system that helped me through some dark times. Actually - I met my current partner here too! We decided to move to Australia to pursue our career/bodybuilding/life/business goals together even though she is from western Canada and I'm from south Florida. I owe a lot to this subreddit and all of its autism, so I thought I would give back a little bit with the spotlight and do an AMA!

You can read a little more about the impact of developing Crohn's had on my life goals at the time here at the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation website: http://online.crohnscolitisfoundation.org/site/PageNavigator/awareness_hero_Nicholas.html

Since that post, I've continued to grow and I recently competed this past Saturday at the IFBB Pro League Victoria Arnold Classic Australia Qualifier here just outside my hometown. Here's a short video review from Desktop Bodybuilding on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WtNBaUAGJ4

My Instagram page has some stage shots and comparisons to the winner: https://www.instagram.com/crohnslifter and before anyone asks I'm 6' 0.5" tall and my stage weight was somewhere around 203-204 lbs (92.1 kg). I started my prep around 240 lbs (108.9 kg)

I'm also currently a PhD student at Monash University in Melbourne, VIC, Australia and a coach with White Dragon Training. My PhD research is a dual-approach both in stellar dynamics (hyper-runaway "fast-moving" stars and how they might relate to the Type Ia supernovae progenitor problem) and undergraduate astronomy education in practical observational settings. My goal is to compete again at a national level show in the United States once I earn my PhD and earn a Pro Card in either men's open bodybuilding or classic physique.

Thank you John for the spotlight, I'm excited to share whatever I can with everyone here. Ask me anything!
